What HourTrack records, and who can see it.

What's recorded

• Your name and work email address, so time can be attributed to you.
• The time you start and stop work, the Trello card or board it's against, and any note you add.

While your timer is running, the desktop app also records your activity, in samples covering a few minutes each (every 15 minutes by default):

• How many mouse clicks and key presses — never which keys.
• How many seconds had any keyboard or mouse use, shown as an activity percentage.
• The name of the application in front and how long, and for a web browser the website's domain only (for example trello.com) — never window titles, page addresses or searches.
• A screenshot of each monitor once per sample, when your company has screenshots switched on.

Nothing is recorded while the timer is stopped. If you stop working and the timer is left running, it stops itself and ends your entry at your last activity.

Who can see it

• You can see your own time entries and activity.
• Managers at MEP Remote QS can see everyone's, and can export time for reporting and invoicing.
• Nobody outside MEP Remote QS has access. Screenshots are kept in MEP Remote QS's own storage, and the desktop app deletes its copy once each one is uploaded.

Removing a sample

You can delete one of your own activity samples, including its screenshots. Doing so also removes that stretch of time from your entry — a sample and the time it covers go together.

How long it's kept

Activity samples and screenshots are deleted automatically after the period MEP Remote QS sets (60 days by default). Time entries are business records and are kept for as long as MEP Remote QS needs them. If you leave, your account is deactivated rather than deleted, so the work you logged stays attributed to you.
